For my last assignment of this week I am going to provide you with a tutorial from an assignment I did awhile back. It’s a desgin assignment on making your own custom shoe. The assignment is not too challenging but I know it’s always nice to see before hand what you are going to get and understand what is where. Now if there is one think I like a lot it’s my multiple pairs of Nike’s I own. I’m slowly expanding my collection and I always love playing around on NikeID trying to make a perfect pair so I am going to show you how you can make your perfect pair too!
First step: Get onto NikeID, you can do that via Google!
Second step: You’ll be presented with a bunch of options of different types of shoes. DON’T PANIC! The little descriptions underneath give you a good idea of what shoe does what.
Third step: Once you have chosen your shoe you will have the options to customize. All the little green checks to the right of the screen help you bring up what you want to change, be it color, design or fabric!
Step 4: Get to the last check and pick out your size! Admire your handy work from all angles and then purchase those bad boys!
Help me, Sally, find my good pal Tallie who has gone missing! She was last seen at her ranch wearing her ranch working outfit (jeans, boots and a button up) on Sunday around high noon. If anyone has any information please tell the Sheriff or me, Sally, at Tumbleweed Saloon in Tombstone, Arizona.
The poster was made using canva.com. I also made this a collaboration assignment using one of my group members characters going missing and my own looking for her and putting these posters up.
This assignment was worth 3.5 stars.
For my last assignment to round off 10 starts is to design a cereal box. I had a lot of fun making up my own cereal and creating a box. In real life it would obviously be a sleek matte black box with nutrition on the sides and fun games on the back or small bios about athletes who eat the cereal. The one I created is just solid black with no sides or back to it. I made my cereal muscle flakes and have Arnold Schwarzenegger posing on it. He is the one who endorses the cereal and other athletes eat it as well. I probably could have gone crazier with this but I really liked the idea of a black box for cereal. You don’t normally see that in the aisles so I think it would be something different and eye catching in a different way. My design is below!
This assignment was worth 4.5 stars.
For this assignment I decided to customize my own shoes! I picked Nike Roshe’s just because I do really like the shoe and my little sister has a pair and they’re perfect. I created mine using NikeID.com on my phone. I then created what pattern and color scheme I wanted, screen shot the shoe before and after, combined it in a collage and ta-dah! My shoe has been created. I decided to go with a red, white and blue theme for the shoe simply because I have always wanted a pair of red shoes. Red is my “power” color so to speak so I thought if I would ever wear these shoes I could take on the world and then some. Also I have almost all the colors of the rainbow in Nike shoes except for red and blue so I thought this would be very fitting to add to my collection!
This assignment was worth 3 stars.
For this week we are to do 10 stars worth of design assignments. My first one is designing my own tattoo! I’ve actually wanted a couple tattoo’s but I can’t get them just yet because of an ultimatum I was given from my Mom. But the one I designed below says “She is strong.” in Gaelic. I used to Irish dance and had learned how to handle so many complicated situations I thought it was fitting. I also drew a thing barbell below since I also love fitness and weight lifting so being strong is a must. I picked the color effects for a reason. Blue for when I am sad I can always remember that the situation will make me stronger. Pink for when I am happy whether it be in the gym or watching my siblings dance. A sharpened version for when I need to truly remember these words. And original, because there is no one quite like me and I need to remember that. I do plan on getting this tattoo on my upper left side of my back however the cursive will be the artists not mine.
This assignment was worth three stars.
Out of a list of three given assignments we were required to do one of them. I chose to do the Western Wanted poster. My poster was made using Canva.com and I found my western outlaw from the link provided within the assignment. This assignment was a lot of fun for me because I got to learn more design and actually create something. I do wish they had had a darker background that was free and more western however, the one I chose will have to do. I did my poster on Belle Starr and notorious thief in the west. Take a look below and tell me what you think!
